5 Reasons home sellers are sitting on the fence

The National Association of REALTORS® said that existing home sales are declining because there’s a paucity of homes for sale now and that “severely restrained inventory” and affordability pressures are the primary reasons for the sales slump. Some housing experts and industry observers believe there are five primary reasons sellers aren’t selling, ranging from needing the space for adult children or elderly parents and still being underwater to being unable to find they’d prefer or can afford to live.
